This Learn to Swim program is designed to provide high quality instructions for infants, children and adults of all abilities. Learn to Swim operates from September to April each year.
The Learn to Swim Program and its instructors promote correct stroke techniques, water safety and personal development in an enjoyable and safe aquatic environment.  All Learn to Swim Instructors are AUSTSWIM or ASCTA qualified and our centre is affiliated an AUSTSWIM and SWIM AUSTRALIA.
Lessons are held as per the school term blocks and intensive blocks are offered during school holidays.  No lessons are held on Public Holidays.  Private Lessons are also available on request and are a great way for participants to fast track their skills.

Seahorse - 6-36 months - Class size: Max 8 children
Description - Water Familiarisation
This is a wonderful age to start becoming familiar with the water and learn how to be safe around it.  A parent or guardian is required to be in the water with the child.

Swordfish - 3 years - Class size: Max 4 children
Description - Water Familiarisation and Water Safety
This class helps young children become safe and strong swimmers.
The teacher will handle the class entirely; however, we require the parent or guardian to be on the pool deck watching and encouraging their young swimmers.

Stingray - Class size: Max 5 children
Description - Body Position
This level is designed to perfect the kick and body position of the young swimmer.  This level is designed to help children gain confidence as well as the skills necessary to progress quickly through the next few levels.

Octopus - Class size: Max 5 children
Description - Introduction to freestyle and backstroke
The beginning of using arms in the "whole stroke' of freestyle and backstroke. One arm drills will be taught both with and without a board on this level.

Dolphins - Class size: Max 5 children
Description - Breathing in freestyle and backstroke,
Beginner Butterfly
This is where the child learns to integrate breathing into their freestyle form a complete stroke in addition to the reinforcement of backstroke with the goal of achieving a 25m swim.  It is also the introduction of beginner butterfly.

Sharks - Class size: Max 6 children
Description - Bilateral breathing freestyle,
Introduction to breaststroke
Taking place in the learn to swim pool, this is where we introduce bilateral breathing and improving freestyle, backstroke and butterfly techniques,  The aim is to make the transition from learn to squad easy and enjoyable.  It also introduces breaststroke.
